Ha Ha Ha.......

Kirstin and I share one really odd comedy-related tick...............we absolutely die laughing when something scares children. Remember the Borat scene when the a bear roars through the ice cream truck window and scares the kids ? Truly a comedic masterpiece.

Anyway, we experienced a similar moment yesterday. We're are taking scuba training to get our Open Water certification .........we've just waded into the ocean among 10 year old girls swimming in the same area...............suddenly.............huge dorsal fins appear right between these two Dutch tweens............ahhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!     Young kids screaming like crazy.........Tom stepping behind Kirstin ever so cautiously.............But it's not a shark........it's a huge manta ray. We quickly submerge and watch this thing circle the area. It's not dangerous because they don't eat tweens..........only beer cans, plankton, and other bottom dwelling stuff like that. Anyway, it was totally cool. This thing was 8 feet wide. Like a picnic bench.  The guy we dove with has been on 58 dives and has never seen a manta ray - we saw one on our second dive, pretty lucky.

Best part was the scared tweens, though..............(honest moment). We have been totally exhausted this week!  Getting up at 7am for our day long sessions feels alot like a job - yes, we still remember what that feels like - but we passed the final exam on theory today and have one more open water dive tomorrow morning before we are legit divers. More to come as we have to get to bed - diving is hard work! Don't feel sorry for us (not that you were!).
